The first ZX-14R, the second-generation revision of the ZX-14 that enlarged the engine to 1441 cc with a longer 65 mm stroke. Changes for 2012 include a revised intake and exhaust, a slipper clutch, three-mode traction control (KTRC), a new aluminium frame and swingarm, lighter wheels and updated bodywork. Wheelbase grew to 1481 mm and the bike sits 770 mm wide.
